Digital tools for locating missing persons: the `Tattoo Recognition` sevice

Today, digital tools are becoming an essential part of the goverment`s efforts to address the most complex humanitarian challlenges - including the search for and identification of missing persons.

The Ministy of Interal Affairs of Uraine has launced a new service called `Identification by Tattoos`, which helps identify people who have gone missing under special circumstances. The section is avaliable on the `Single Window for Citizens` portal and allows relatives to view sketches of tattos and notify investigators if they recognize distinctive feature.

The technical implementation of the service was provided by the team at the SE INFOTECH, which develops and maintains digital systems for the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The company`s specialists developed the fuctionality of the corresponding section of the portal, which allows users to work with a database of tattoo sketches of unidentified individuals, search by various parameters and forward information to investigators for further verification, while ensuring secure data storage and processing.

The launch of this service is yet another example of how digital solutions help the government act more quickly and efficiently as well as support families seeking inforamtion about their loved ones.

For the team at SE INFOTECH, such projects aren`t just a technical challenge, but an opportunity to apply dagaital tools where they can help people find answers to their most pressing questions.

The company continues to work on developing government digital services that help law enforcement agencies perform their duties effectively and enable citizens to access the inforamtion and services they need.
